ARTIST STATEMENT
Young men with powerful cars gather at night to show off their skill and daring. Motors roar and the four-wheeled dancers slide and pirouette with dangerous disregard for the cheering crowd.
When morning comes the road is clear. But the evidence of their nocturnal activities remain, burned in black rubber on the asphalt. These present-day petroglyphs document the motions of the night as if written in strokes of ink-laden calligraphy brushes.
