ARTIST STATEMENT
Nature will win in the end.
Sometimes it seems as if the material things around us - buildings and bridges, cars and countries - will be here forever.
The truth is that even the land itself - mountains, plains and rivers - is ephemeral. In geologic time it is here today, gone in the blink of an eye.
Of course, people tend to think in human timescales, but just occasionally we encounter something that reminds us of the transient nature of all things.
